Science Isn’t Boring — Bad Explanations Are
We started 33Science because we kept running into the same problem: We’d get curious about something — why do caves form the way they do, how do electric motors actually work, what makes a species go endemic to one tiny island — and every article we found was either a dry Wikipedia summary or a fluffy listicle that answered nothing.
There had to be a middle ground. Real answers, explained like a curious person, not a textbook committee.
So we built it.

What 33Science Is
33Science is a science reference and education site covering:
– Geology & Earth Science — volcanoes, caves, minerals, tectonic activity
– Biology & Ecology — species guides, mutualism, endemic wildlife, ecosystem
– Chemistry — isotopes, reactions, materials
– Environmental Science — conservation, natural resources, climate systems
– Zoology & Botany — birds, plants, and the weird corners of the animal kingdom
Every article is written or reviewed by someone with domain knowledge in that subject. I don’t publish on topics I can’t speak to confidently — and when a piece ventures outside my own expertise, I work with contributors who have the right background.
The goal isn’t volume. It’s accuracy.

Our Philosophy for Each Article
A few things I hold to consistently:
Start with the real question. Not “what is mutualism” but “what actually makes two organisms dependent on each other, and what happens when one disappears.” The question shapes the article.
Cite primary sources. Peer-reviewed research, official datasets, government science agencies. Not other blogs.
Write for people who are curious, not credentialed. You don’t need a science degree to read anything on this site. But if you have one, you shouldn’t find anything embarrassingly wrong either.
Update articles when the science changes. Publication date isn’t the finish line.
