No strictly endemic plant species are currently documented for Belarus
Belarus sits on the flat East European Plain and shares its habitats with neighboring countries. Plants do not stop at political borders. Because of this, very few — if any — species are found only inside Belarus. Expecting a long list of “endemic plants of Belarus” therefore produces an empty result.
Endemics usually form where populations are isolated for a long time. Mountains, islands, deserts, or ancient isolated bogs create that isolation. Belarus has no major mountain ranges or true island systems and was heavily shaped by recent glaciation and post‑glacial migration. These conditions make strict national endemics rare. Also, some local forms show up as subspecies or varieties. Verify those with primary sources such as the Red Data Book of Belarus, national herbaria, and IUCN records.
Look instead at close alternatives that do exist and will interest you. Find lists of nationally rare or protected plants (for example, protected orchids like Cypripedium calceolus), species restricted to regions that cross borders (Polesie and the Baltic region), and locally distinct subspecies or relict species. Explore the Red Data Book, regional flora guides, herbarium records, and habitat maps for the best, verified information.
